Description No one notices
When sadness comes in laughter
No one notices
When laughter hides the pain
Sadness comes in tears
They think
Sadness comes in bellows of pain
Alas, sadness is too hard to tell
That a solemn face
Can hide joy inside

Curious: why the flip at the end? The majority of the piece is about laughter hiding sadness, or people recognizing sadness only in certain expressions, and then in the last two lines you have a solemn face hiding joy. It does end the piece on a hopeful and positive note, but it does so without any real transition, which kind of threw me off when I was reading it.

The poem focuses on joy hiding sadness and that's what I thought the majority of focus should be on, but I also wanted to bring up the fact that the opposite can also be true. But it wasn't as important, for this poem, so I only gave it two lines.
