Training had not been going well. Raider was acting up the minute he stepped onto the show grounds. Seth tried to ignore it, calling it excitement. He had been looking forward to the Olympics for months and he didn't want to think negatively. Raider continued to act...strange. Seth didn't know what to call it but it wasn't silliness. The stallion was just not himself. The horse was not working as fast as he usually did. He was still pushy, but in a finicky way, not bullying like normal. Seth was worried. Alex and Seth watched the stallion with concern up to the final days. They were light with exercise but he wasn't improving. Seth decided he was going to scratch buta few day before the individual cross country, the stallion bounced back. They had had come all this way, they might as well give it their best shot. At the starting line Raider was calm. Seth thought it was odd but when they started, the stallion jumped into action and together they started the biggest competition of theri careers.
