Description
Since I've posted my old version of this scene yesterday, I thought I'd redo it, now that I've actually seen the movie and some months have passed. The Kaa scene might have been my favourite of all, snakes are also somehow really relaxing to draw...

I actually despised that Kaa scene (mostly due to the poor use of the character and that she felt kind of pointless and forgettable), but I did like how they pulled off the coiling. It kinda reminds me of the book (although Kaa only coiled him a few times. One of them was when he was a child and seeking refuge with Kaa, who allowed him to sleep in his coils. The second time was when Kaa mistook him for a prey and coiled him up pretty much exactly the way you depict on that picture. Of course, Kaa was not at the size of a dinosaur like in the movie. lol)

Considering that in the original books by Kipling Kaa is way over 100 years old, the whole size thing seems Β bit more plausible - at least in the realm of imagination There are those photos of huge snake people find but yea, nothing comes close to what they did with Kaa in the movie. I always felt quite sorry for Kaa in the Disney adaptions because in the cartoon one he basically is a fool to the tiger and in the live action one he (or does it count as she cause Scarlett Johansson voices Kaa?) is quite forgettable indeed. Guess they never had the room for the intriguing character of book Kaa.

Well, at least the cartoon Kaa had a personality. Unlike the live-action Kaa.
