I think my first piece I used this on you watched!
(ages ago o.o I'm getting old man)
I think this is my main method, though I often add in other steps or like overpainting or smudging the horse. But if I've got to explain my entire convoluted way of doing things depending on feeling and effect it would get terribly complex! xD
I prefer the multiply for the shadows, because it gives richer colours (especially if you're using off-black) and I feel it does make it look better depth-wise :'D
