Description
LARGE FILE WARNING!I had actually completed this before I took the poll, so I thought I'd upload it anyway!
Just something for you guys while you wait for more art...
I'm not 100% sure this can be the same for giving a white horse black markings, but go for it!
You probably won't be seeing the manipulation used in this posted in its entirety. I was practicing my horse prep and decided to make a tutorial, but I scrapped the manipulation afterward.

You can go on the layer you drew the markings on, select around them with a lasso tool / selection tool, cut it or copy it, and then go onto your clipping layer and paste it again. If not, you can always make the layer you drew the markings on, a clipping layer (if you have Photoshop CS, it's CTRL+ALT+G and if you have Photoshop Elements it's CTRL+G. I think GIMP would probably be the same?) Hopefully one of those helps!! I'm glad you've found my tutorial helpful & thanks for trying it out!~

I'm afraid I can't help you with any of the full versions of Photoshop (CS3, CS4, CS5, etc.) because I have no experience with any of them (only Elements)! In my program, I can make a layer a clipping mask by pressing CTRL + G or by going through "Layer" > "Create Clipping Mask" while the layer is selected. I'm sorry I can't help you further but that's the only way I know how to make it, having never used Photoshop CS5!
My laptop doesn't allow me to take screenshots while certain drop-down menus are open, so I can't even show you. My apologies! :c

Really?? That's great! I do my black markings and white markings a bit differently than this tutorial now actually. Perhaps I should update it. But I can't wait to see!!
