Description
He sits up on my wall and gives me that disapproving look. It is incredibly unsettling. Would you say "Why you waste 10k+ beads making a two foot long wall sprite of your favorite screenshot?!" ...To which I would say "THAT IS NOT MY FAVORITE SCREENSHOT. My favorite is the part that comes after, where he smiles all nicely. But I can't look at a Cell-smile for more than ten seconds or else fainting occurs.""For when you gaze long into the smiling Cell, the smiling Cell gazes also into you."
(Sorry, I've been awake for 24 hours and 6 of those hours may have involved marathoning Ghost Adventures. I'm whacked at the moment.)

How on Earth do you have the patience for this? I'd be ripping my hair out, no doubt.

I have no idea xD No patience, I just make it in little increments. I think for me it's less about having patience and more about having too much free time

Oh, I know precisely what screenshot you're talking about. Despite the fact that I have upwards of 900 Cell screenshots, that one also remains one of my favorites. If anything good could be said to have come from Dragonball GT Final Bout, it is that.

900 Cell screenshots saved? How does your computer handle all that sexiness without overheating?

So you're saying I still have some left. You're saying there's hope. Hmm.
I'll ponder your words over my morning coffee.

Pretty cool work!
I'm still having trouble figuring out how to make/see those almost same colored pixels. I mean I see the color difference now, but if I had to remake it, I couldn't. :S
There must be a technique for this.

There's a really nice color chart here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d… It's got Hama, Perler, Nabbi, and Artkal.
Usually if I'm looking at a photo and I can't figure out a color, I try to match it up to that spreadsheet there. That way, even if I get it wrong, I'll still have chosen a color similar enough to use if I wanted to recreate the sprite
The Perler ones I always have a hard time telling apart in a photo are Pink/Bubblegum (they're like the same color!) LightBlue/PastelBlue, and BrightGreen/KiwiLime

Thanks, that's a pretty good chart, I hope I can use it to PixelHobby aswell.

I don't know much about PixelHobby beads, they seem pretty interesting though. I thought they came with a program that chose that stuff for you? Or maybe I'm thinking of something else.

actually PixelHobby is made of little rubber squares and they are half the size of an iron bead. (you can check my 'Shut up, Meg' picture to see )
It does have software, but it has it's own color code so it's a bit difficult to use.
