She asked for a Hermione/Lucius pairing with a nice landscape setting. So I decided on a gown up Hermione who had re-joined Hogwarts as a teacher and a post-war Lucius who was trying to get is new bearings after the demise of Voldemort and the pureblood faction.
Of course the quote for the picture is from Ron's comment regarding Victor Krum. I have no idea what kind of reaction this scene would get from him. But obviously Cookshanks is cool with it. If his mistress can play with snakes, so can he...

The title is so significant - 'Fraternizing with the Ennemy' - I like it. By the way, we could say: 'must get to know the ennemy to beat him'.

Thanks! Actually I've been meaning to draw my own tarot for the longest time. I just never really hit on a set of pictorial ideas that I felt would sustain 78 different cards. When I read about the 4 houses and the strong elemental connections they had, somehow things seemed to simply fall into place, and by the time JKR referenced the Tarot herself in "The Lightning-struck Tower" I was pretty much sold on the idea...

Sigh! I wish it was me in this picture instead of Hermione. Just imagine yourself being held passionately in Lucius' arms and being kissed by those sensual lips of his. A dream come true!
I love the background. The trees and the castle are beautiful. It makes the drawing look almost dreamlike. Cookshanks and the snake at the bottom playing in the grass is a nice detail.
I must say that the pairing of Hermione/Lucius is a very interesting one. Although I have always imagined the pairing of Hermione/Severus as being far more likely. I mean it doesn't seem very likely for Lucius finding an interest in a muggle born woman. He who has always found such pride in the pureblood cause. But who cares if the drawing seems unlikely. One of the greatest mysteries of life is love and how we sometimes find ourself falling in love with a person we never imagined ourself falling for in the first place.
The title for the drawing is also very fitting: Fraternizing with the enemy! One could so easily imagine another title also: Sleeping with the enemy! Now see, that would be my daydream!

I think Hermione is too much a stickler for detail to let it slide that Lucius nearly killed her best friend Ginny at one point, and Lucius would probably gag at the thought of kissing a filthy little mudblood...

You are quite right! Hermione would never date someone who almost got one of her friends killed. She's such a sticker for protocol. And Lucius would certainly, as you put it, gag at the thought of kissing a filthy little mudblood.
