Description
(2020), 6.5x10.5", Prismacolor pencils and white gel pen on grey paper.
This shell was interesting, because it actually presented a more stunning view when looked at from beneath.Plus this way I got to draw the amazing shimmering hues of mother-of-pearl at the aperture.
Love the contrast between the fairly rough and spiny outside in contrast to the sensuous glow of the inside

Thanks so much! After so much time working just in black and white with graphite it felt like fun bringing some color into the mix while still feeling I had a good handle on the basic technique.
