Ahh yess I got super frustrated and was like whatevs. I also stated watching documentaries which were really interesting,it really helped me draw them for whatever reason

well ,to be specific I watched one about pixar and one about drew stuzan. THe second being extremely inspriring(look up his work)

I also  watched the food documenteries and uhh the one about medical mysteries,deformities and other things of that nature...I've liked weird shit since I was a kid.

I never really thought about the color but I was think either white or dark purple. (like his covered eye is white and the one seen is purple.) Sorry for not making that clear.
