Description
The communicator is boxed in a welded, three parted steel box. I use an mp4 player to get the effects...is removable and well protected

Man, your stuff is just awesome. Never been a massive fan of 40k, but your stuff just looks so cool and does perfect justice to it. If it was done in resin it would be one thing but it's even better because it's in metal.

Sowas hat n Kumpel von mir für nen Endzeit-Techniker auch gebaut, mit nem iPhone drin. Benutzt du da irgendne bestimmte, interaktive App oder ist da nur dieses Radar sichtbar?

Ist ein normaler MP4 touchscreen mit verschiedenen Dateien, Funksequenzen, Radarsaver als mpeg gefilmt, diverse Grafiken etc....

Oh, the idea of the mp3 to get the effects like you said is great! I was searching some screen to control a small vehicule by radio to put on my XV15 arm ^^

Yes, it was the easiest way to do it.
The negative point is, that I could´nt stop the energy save mode, after some minutes the screen changes to the logo.
The sound works the whole time...
I use it with some files with hebrew radio talks, thats no prob.
Only the longer use of the radar screensaver is not perfect.
But the piece was´nt expensive..

Looks awesome! Though I'd consider running a rubber gasket around where the cover meets the housing. Given the amount of moisture one encounters on the battlefield, especially when dropping from high altitude down through clouds, it'd help protect the electronic (photonics?) inside. Also, the last thing you want is some chemical weapon/nuglite plague getting inside your comm, and opening it up later as a nasty surprise.
