And yes carapace armour, but the elysian style have not so much weight as the cadian. This one on the pic weights only 15pounds.

Only 6 kilos? Wow, that's pretty light, especially with weight spread out. Rad is short for Radical, which was used during the 80's and 90's to signify something was cool. It's used in an ironic fashion now.

Yes, why not...the boot have to do their job( and its not only the display job, sometimes we do the guard job in heavy duty), and they should be black...I mean that is the perfect boot for this...

I know these boots pretty good, 2 years in the Bundeswehr And so they are really perfect for the job. Heavy, dureable, black and leather, pretty true.
