Description Gemstone Dilution Chart
Gemstone is a special gene which changes the base coat of a unicorn depending on the base it's inherited on! Gemstone only effects chestnut and black horse bases, a bay horse who inherits a copy of Gemstone does not display a gemstone color and is what we call a 'Gemstone Carrier'. Different dilutes of Gemstone also have 'pet names' depending on what their genotype is. An Emerald unicorn can be referred to as a Minty Emerald if they inherit one copy of cream or simply Minty.

Gemstone horses a have eye colors that match their gemstone color which remains unchanged despite the dilution they may possess. The only thing that would change a Gemstone Unicorns eye color would be a white factor or magic (such as one infected with shadow magic).

Single Cream inheritance
Gemstone unicorns who inherit a SINGLE cream gene will have their base coats lighten significantly. Most commonly, single cream Gemstones appear to be a pastel version of their normal form. While their coats are lighter than normal, their mane, tail, hooves and horn still remain a shade or two darker than the base. (Assuming another gene is not affecting it such as inversion or white factor)

Double Cream inheritance
Gemstone unicorns who inherit TWO cream genes will have their coats lightened even further. These pale pastel unicorns will find that their mane, tail, hooves and horn turn near white. Again, this is assuming another gene is not affecting it such as inversion or white factor.

Champagne inheritance
Gemstone unicorns who inherit 1-2 copies of the champagne gene will find that their brilliant coats become muted and dull. These slightly desaturated coats are often noted to be ashy or dusky in hue. However, despite their lack of gleam and shine, Champagne Gemstone Unicorns have brilliant bright eyes which are unaffected by the champagne. Their eye color should be just as bright and saturated as their 'normal' base coat would allow.

Comboing with other Elysium Genes
Gemstone by definition is a base coat gene. Meaning that other Elysium marking will be affected by it. Markings such as Bengal, Cervidais and Nyala will match these unnatural colors when combined with Gemstone.

Melanism will darken Gemstone coats just as it would a natural coat.
Saturation will brighten Gemstone coats to more neon shades and hues. (Have your sun glasses ready!)
