Okay, so I wanted to do this for a while, and I finally ended up doing it. It started off good and then I kind of just got lazy at the end. It took me while, nevertheless. I put it under the digital art category merely because I drew it in Photoshop CS2, but you can use this for traditional drawings tool.
Some of the drawings I really don't like, but I'm not going to spend more time on it when it already took me a few hours to do. Also, if I add more information to the tutorial, it'll be WAY too long. Therefore, I hope it's helpful the way it is.

The guidelines would help since I am not very good at mirroring but this was wonderful regardless, I seriously struggled with ears/eyes so this was a wonderful thing to learn from. The mouth tips as well were incredible and hastened my learning experience so thank you so much!

I'm glad it could help you, and I'm sorry it couldn't help you more! At the time, I don't think I used guidelines much, if at all, so I didn't include them. I can see they're definitely useful, though, especially if you're trying to learn. When I do happen to draw (which isn't often these days), I do find myself using guidelines every now and then.

They're pretty difficult! Probably the most difficult part on a face for me still. So don't get discouraged if you're having trouble! Keep trying!

=O Finally a tutorial in which the eyes are drawn first~
I really hate the head skeleton thing... it's so hard for me to make the eyes fit in it. ;__;
I've always drawn the eyes and face first.. but then I draw the bangs and hair without the outline of the head so my heads often look weird. x3
I'll try doing it like in the tutorial though ^^ I think it'll help~

I almost always draw the eyes first. It's easier for me. xD I realize that not many people draw in that order, though.
I know what you're talking about with the hair. I usually draw the eyes and face, then an outline for the top of the head, so I can draw the hair more accurately.

Ha ha, thanks. I cheated a little bit in this old tutorial, though; I copied one eye that I drew and flipped it and pasted to make the other eye (with some edits). I usually don't do that, but for some reason I did in this tutorial a while back.
