Rowen is actually a White Fang member, sent to Beacon to attempt to spread word of the good side of the Fang, with minimal success. She was later told to spy on other students, to learn weaknesses and find advantages over future Huntsman that might fight the White fang. However, after meeting Haven and being her partner as well as falling for her, she drops this plan and quits being spying for the White Fang.
