Description
One of my best pieces to date, this portrait done by a photo reference features my favorite musician and best subject - a japanese man famous world-wide in the J-rock circles.I used a 0.5 Mechanical Pencil only, no smudgers or finger use to soften it - this left it more real & technically challenging too, though this scan is of poor quality and the scanner cut inches off his shoulder & torso. (Ignore the light band at the bottom, that's where the page bent away from the scanner) The original drawing is 11.5 X 17 inches and much softer looking in the actual graphite...one day I might scan in a photograph of it so that you can see the whole thing with a truer quality. ^_^
Total time: 18.5 solid hours. My Pride and Joy.

I'm not very found of gackt, expecialy in this kind of hairstyle, although this picture is A-W-S-O-M-E!!!!
the shading is perfect on the skin, the shirt is great and his hair is georgeus!!

this is incredible!!!!!!!!! when i saw it as one of my friend's favorites i thought it was photography!!! i only clicked on it because i liked his pose and the shadows. it makes it that much better that it's a drawing. you have amazing talent! don't waste it.

This looks awsome, The hair is killer real looking, well so is everything else. And it's unbelievably perfect for a mechanical pencil. You did great and you have crazy patience for 18.5 hours. It was well worth it I'd have to say.
