Bio: Lin Shanghai Tea came from a family of disciplined martial artists. Even as a young filly, she was trained in the field of martial arts. She was trained at a young age because they want Lin to become a strong and independent mare. Her training paid off when she saw Tyra getting bullied. Lin saw it as an opportunity as a test to her newly acquired skills. She defeated the bullies and managed to befriend Tyra.

Lin is sociable despite the fact that her parents are strict. They forbid her to go to parties and she is only allowed to socialize with only her classmates. Apparently, she likes to go to parties to meet new ponies. Tyra gets jealous whenever Lin attends a party but Lin is oblivious to that. After some time, she was found out and she was greatly punished. Lin begged and spoke up to explain her argument. Her parents soon realized she needs to meet new ponies other than her friends or classmates.

Lin doesn't hesitate to help other ponies in trouble because she believes it is her duty to protect anyone trouble.
