It took a moment for Alexa to realize but her worst fear turned into reality as the next contestant arrived from the opposed direction. Not only had she failed to keep herself together before reaching a safe space, but also had to experience her melt down right in front of one of the main competition at this event. Al' tried her best to get back on her feet, hoping to act as if she just tripped, in a vain attempt to calm her heart racing in her chest as well as the jerk rythm of her breathing. At her side, Republic gave her rider a worried look and a nudge of her nose, as if to alert the Siren about the presence. Right before straightening her neck and pin her ears at the new found company, ready to protect her human if needed.

In all her whirlwind of emotions, Alexa had not even noticed that her poor hat rolled away. She almost thought she could have saved her image in extremist as she quickly shook her coat from the sand of the pathway. It was only when Eli handed it back to her that reality truly hit her, what had just happened; he saw everything. Al' bit her bottom lip and offered a shy glance at Eli, before quickly looking away- obviously ashamed of her breaking confidence. " Grazie." she almost whispered as her fingers pinched the border of her hat. Thank God Eli opted to not ask anything, sparing the lady more anxiety for now.
She stroked her mare's nose - as she was getting impatient from the proximity of the strangers - and responded with a slight smile, thankful that of all the participants it was someone as thoughtful as Eli who witnessed that short meltdown; and soon enough both were back on their respective ways.

But After taking enough distance from her opposants, the Italian took all of her remaining courage to turn around and shout at him in a more assured and sincere voice " Good luck! " . After all, it was a big event for everyone, and if Eli had the heart to stop and check on her, that also meant he definitely could continue to worry about her. Alexa simply hoped it could be enough to let him know she was fine - or would be eventually at least.
