I've been asking around for things that make characters bad. I wanted to help out people who are maybe just starting out making characters or who don't feel comfortable with the characters that they already have.

ALWAYS REMEMBER: everything is conditional. Something that is really bad in one universe can be totally okay in another. Think about that when you're giving your characters names/faces/clothes/etc.

Also, regarding names, their name doesn't have to sound like someone else's. If my name is Emily, which it is, I wouldn't name my daughter Emilia. I think there are very few people who would. Instead, I could have the middle name, Catherine, since I have the same birthday as my Auntie Kate. Exceptions are Jr. etc.
