Hello! And welcome to the second part of my tutorial.Im glad im finally being productive OTL
Everything was made in Paint tool SAI, Character drawn is named Alexan and she belongs to me!
Question! do you personally enjoy coloured or bold outllines?

I like both~ depends what style to go for. Β I have to say these tutorials are helpful and funny to read. They're super easy to understand! Each step is clear, espesh the coloring parts.Β
Others kinda baffle me on the progression. Its like jump-cuts. Your steps are clear. I can imagine the images being colored right before my eyes. *^*Β

I never color my lineart just because I've always thought it to be to difficult re re-outline everything, but I feel like a dud for not thinking of using a clipping layer above it. You're a genius!!

I love that "clipping groups" thing. I wonder if I can do it on Artrage...

Thanks for this tutorial, I'm still trying to find a digital painting style. I'm trying my best to get away from cel-shading.

I do see plenty of them around c: im glad my tutorial helped! but its pretty basic, if youre serious about this stuff theres a lot of tutorials out there that would really boost your skills in digital painting.
I only draw in the program SAI its pretty basic but i know the pros usually go photoshop.

I used photoshop for quite a while but I prefer Sai honestly. It's much easier to blend the colours and it's lightweight so it won't put too much pressure on my PC. I guess most people go for it too because it's under the Adobe umbrella.

What tool did you use for blending? After the hardlines... like a water or blur or or?

What tool do you use for the blending? After you do the hardlines on the skin and you say to blend I was wondering what tool you used. Blur, water, or something else? I can't seem to find anything that blends well without losing the shading in a muddy mess. :<

I use a marker tool for shading, and then i use airbrush of the same shaded colour, to bled in / graduate it o:

This probably seems like a silly question, but what is your air brush settings? Yours doesn't look like default settings. It seems much lighter. With my air brush, its to blotchy and rough! >_< (or its just me! @_@)
