To be honest, Sims 2 was much more fun in my opinion, I can list reasons why I think this is too:
With the Sims 3, there is such access to everything, that there lacks this feeling of achievement, like for example: When I got the Sims 3 Supernatural, before I knew it, EVERYONE in my neighborhood was something magical; It almost made being a human more special. In the Sims 2, you rarely ever see anything Supernatural, and when you do it's exciting, it's an opportunity you can't miss. I feel like this is just one of the reasons why the Sims 3 just doesn't appeal to me quite as much as the other games do. I could list other things but I think I'll spare you all the tl:dr lol. My opinion could also be slightly biased since The Sims 2 was the first Sims PC game I played, I used to watch my older brother play the original all the time, and when I turned 9 I got The Sims 2 for myself. Still, there is just something more magical about the game, something the Sims 3 will never have.
