Wow! This is quite the departure from the collected other pieces you do. But I like it. I think it's quite edgy...are you putting it in a show? I think you should. That would be a nice take on our culture.
Just curious, are you super influenced by any artists in particular? Your work is very linear in a way i've never seen before. Just wondering who you're after! haha.

well those first two pin-ups on the black backgrounds are for a show, they only want two 12x16" pics, and they needed to be about women and they needed to be a bit edgy - but i had so much fun doing them i think i will continue down this pin-up route for a while - no destination for this girly right now though
erm, i'm not super influenced by any one person really, i just do what comes natural to me, I think they're very linear because i've been a designer for years before i picked up a paintbrush. I just pick subjects and colours i like, how they come out my hand i don't know till i do it when i've taken a good look at paintings i admire i can't work out how they're done anyway!!

Nice! I didn't know you were a designer! Very cool. What kind of designer? I considered that careers for a while, but decided I hate computers, and this would inevitably lead to my demise, haha. So that's why i'm super interesting in what kind of designing you do! So i can be jealous!! haha.
I see! Very cool about the pin ups! Have you been in many shows now?

you can be jealous, because i've gotten away with never using a computor to design, i'm very lucky, its very old fashioned. I design shop display (mostly for the beauty industry), i come up with all the ideas and initial sketches and illustrations for a client, and the company i work for goes on to make the final display if they like what they see.
I work from home now, its pretty good
not very good at getting myself out there, i have never been in a show, its something i'd like to work towards, just have random pics in random galleries currently but think i'm going to work on a collection of these pin-ups as i've really enjoyed these first three

oh my! No computer. I am quite jealous! Wow!! shop displays! That isn't called a merchandiser, is it?
You must be a creative one then. I do display's occasionally for the shop I work at, and it isn't always an easy task to make it look right. I'm always adding and subtracting....and pushing things to the front or the back. haha. ah well, that sounds like such fun! You get to sketch quite a bit then!
yay collection! It would be nice to see a bit of crossing over between the pin up girls and the mannequin girls you do. Like, one really glamourous looking one or something. that would be sooo Rosie-lee. hehhe!
