They're from G.R.R. Martin's book series "A Song of Ice and Fire".Β You're a bit late to the party, but there's always time to catch up!

Thank you!Β And that's probably a good call, re: reading the books.Β I ended up getting hooked with the first one, but they ARE rather grim, and I often feel the need for a Unicorn Chaser after every episode.
