Here is an incomplete chart of human ships throughout science fiction. Numbers are all official (canon) or came of VFX studios or artists (for SG, the Galactica), blueprints or screen comparisons. For example, the Sulaco is officially 385 m long but the comparison with the Cheyenne indicate a 731 m lenght. The same can apply with the Starship Troopers official size of 550 m and it's VFX size of two to three times this number.
