I have drawn other Batman villains: the Joker, the Penguin, Catwoman, Two-Face and Poison Ivy. I have considered drawing Mr. Freeze and Harley Quinn as well.

Do you prefer the giggling lunatic or the soft-spoken chessmaster? I can't decide either however there was a recent DC Nation short where he was voiced by Weird Al Yankovic.

If the "soft-spoken chessmaster" you mean is the one from Batman: The Animated Series, then I'd say I prefer that one. I do have a sentimental appreciation for Frank Gorshin's giddy version from the '60s. (He was better than John Astin, if you ask me.) Although I prefer both way over the "black metal" Riddler from The Batman!

Well I know Frank Gorshin didn't want to do this one story arc so they replaced the Riddler with "The Puzzler" and he was a Superman villain. I still remember watching that episode when I lost my first tooth. I was watching the two episodes of Batman the animated series on VHS involving Riddler and as much as I don't like "Karma Houdinis" in fiction I let the Riddler slide in his debut episode because him getting away with his actions did prove he is so intelligent, he managed to give Batman the slip and Batman's supposed to be one of the greatest detective of all time.
I am aware Riddler has some sort of OCD and explored the fact that he CANNOT commit a crime unless he leaves a riddle for Batman and Robin after he commits the crime. He tried to quit that habit but it failed.

There is currently an art contest featuring members of the Legion of Doom underway at a website I go to quite often. The deadline is April 5, 2006 and I would really like you to consider putting this picture into the contest!
(The legion of Doom was like the Secret Society of Villains in the ‘70’s in case you didn’t know.)
Here's a link to the thread: [link]
If you want to come up with something new, by all means do that but I really hope to see you in the contest either way!
Take care!

I didn't know the Riddler was part of the Legion of Doom. (I remember the Joker being a part of it, though.) Anyway, I'll take up your suggestion. Thanks!

Actually... the Joker was never a member either. Here's a list of the eligible characters:
Bizarro
Black Manta
Brainiac
Captain Cold
Cheetah
Gorilla Grodd
Giganta
Lex Luthor
Riddler
Scarecrow
Sinestro
Soloman Grundy
Toyman
Thanks for taking the time to check it out, I hope to see you there!

Cool!
Have you seen the new Riddler design for The Batman? I don't care for the show, but he looks awesome! ... cept he doesn't make me think "Riddler" at all, he's just really cool looking in a gothy sort of way! I like YOURS because you can actually tell who he is!!!

I only had a glimpse of "The Batman"'s Riddler. I wasn't thinking "Riddler" either!
BTW, I just heard on "Entertainment Tonight" about Gorshin's passing yesterday, which is when I posted this pic! That's some kind of synchronicity workin'!

Okay, how creepy is it that I saw this today, the Riddler ep of The Batman airs this Saturday, and now I just found out that Frank Gorshin died!
