Description
Okay, here's my first "digital/paint" Design of Shard the Metal Sonic as a flesh and blood mobian-sorta.Going to do a physical, traditional drawing later on....
My idea is that Nicole used some of the reproducing Nanites under her control and gave them to Shard. He would take control of those nanites and add them to his body and change his form to that of a natural mobian, though he can switch back and forth. That way he can interact with other Mobians outside of the SFF....Only thing he can't hide without making his torso look awkward is his power gem, so he would wear a cloak or something to hide it......
Not an original idea, but the one I like the most XD.

I like the concept, but the art itself feels very sloppy...
You need to make sure the lines come together at points, instead of being rounded off. And also make sure to not have those stray white pixels, like around the vest. Make sure stray lines don't overlap or randomly break, like on his forehead and goggles. And also- don't go so crazy with the different line colors. Make sure they're all the same color, or similar in color to what's around them! The lines should also all be around the same thickness- like, the lines for the chest should be the same thickness as the lines used for the head.
Also- you shouldn't just say who the base was from, you should leave a link to the original base in your description! It would make it way easier for people to find the base if you left a link for them.
I left some helpful links on your main page- I'm sure your art will improve if you put just a little more effort into it!

Like it said though, it's a first design and I was testing out the design and color schemes since I hardly ever- if at all- do males....
I'm not used to leaving links..but I'll keep that in mind for the future.
I'm trying to get better with paint since I'm mostly a traditional artist, but I don't have much time with family issues, college, and a full time job. Once things settle down though I hope to be able to make things better.

Design-wise, I think it looks pretty good.

design wise..yeah there's a few bugs lol. I wanted to try incorporating all the colors from his original body ...XD didn't turn out so well....XD
i love Shard so much.....but I don't think he feels the same...XD

owo really!? Thank you so much! I know I have a lot to fix though, but I really hope to get better.....when I first found Shard in the comics, I was almost amazed how quickly he became a favorite of mine, second only to Shadow. So I was eager to try and design a pic of him ...

Haha, I can definitely relate to you there! Shard wormed his way right into my heart and made himself at home there. I haven't been able to get him to budge, since! XD He's such a cool character. Cool backstory, cool motivation, cool personality, cool design, everything about him just screams 'I'm a cool dude, love me'. And so, I do XD I really want to see him make a come back to the comics.

Oh my gosh, I know. I love Shard to bits and pieces. He's such a great character! Everything from his design to his personality is just wonderful in every way
I would love to see Archie bring him back somehow, and I think that there are plenty of ways that they could do it while avoiding the whole copyright thing with Penders. But since SEGA now mandates there only be one Metal Sonic at a time, Shard may apply to that rule. Although, he might also not since he's technically a 'mecha Sonic', but only time will tell. I'm hoping for some news about him from Lost Hedgehog Tales, so we'll just have to wait and see :')
