Prop 8 was passed in 2008 to ban same-sex marriage. The decision was challenged in court earlier this year. Yesterday, a federal judge overturned the Prop 8 ruling, saying denying gays and lesbians the right to get married was unconstitutional.
In my comic, Adam (the first guy), reads about this news and texts his little brother (Jesse, who is gay), to congratulate him about this turn of events. Jesse is happy his normally "look how much I like girls and beer and football and other stereotypically heteronormative masculine things" brother is supportive of him.

I may have been a little drunk last night. I had to actually check the fridge and count the beer that was left to see how much I drank. It was all gone, but I know my mom had one, soooo... five. Five beers. I realized just before posting that it was a bunk bed. But then I was really into the idea of Adam having a canopy. I really wanted a huge canopy when I was a little girl.
