Now in Technicolor!Really, I just wanted an excuse to draw the Animorphs again after my first attempt four years ago . I consider this drawing a way to pay homage to my favorite series growing up, and to poke fun at myself. Because...well...really, like Michael, I love a good conspiracy. The more I kept thinking about one coincidence, the more others started becoming obvious to me. (The one about Jace and Tobias is part in-joke with my friends, and part spoilerific similarities.)
The X-Men Evolution similarities are for another day.
And if you have no idea what Animorphs is...allow me to enlighten you .

No, I see alot different. no figures resembling professor or storm or logan or magneto or mystique or.....*drones for an hour*
Really, the only thing see similar to any plot is Jordan escaped from the people who made him and they're hunting him, like X23, but its pretty vague. took me while to realize it.

The book were so much better than the show. I don't even remember how many episodes there were of the show--I think I gave up six or so episodes in.

This is hilarious. But totally ok because I believe that you can retell the same story 100 times, as long as the cast is diffrent and interesting in every version, the story itself can be a success; and if the characters are developed enough, it won't even be the exact same story.

Thanks much! Let's sure hope so. (I actually just saw that movie Avatar and while I kept thinking "omg, this is exactly like Pocahontas/Fern Gully" that didn't really keep me from enjoying. In fact, it made me like it more. Weird.)

Ah, animorphs. I LOVEd flipping the pages for the transformation, but it would always jump too many pages at some point when I would do it, and ruined the fluidity DX

Oh, I remember Animorphs as a kid~
It's amazing how you took something that was eerily/subconciously (?) coincidental to a brainchild of yours and turned it all around with good humor. 
Sounds silly, but it takes a lot of guts from the artist to not be discouraged upon discovering such a thing. This happened to me before (my subconcious does the darnest things), and it can be tough.
So all in all, good job and thanks for brightening up my day.

Guess an artist's habit of subconciously putting nostalgic coincidences in their works is the universe's odd way of making sure credit comes where credit's due when it comes to old childhood inspirations.

Aaah.. Animorphs was my childhood, so if it's any consolation.. the similarities never occured to me.. BUT OH how I laughed at "socially-awkward late-comer" 8D

I myself have a real bone to pick with M. Night Shyamalan. He keeps stealing my twists. Also James Cameron.. for marketing big blue furries. If I thought big blue furries were marketable, I would have taken Iggy more seriously xD

the saddest thing is that I figured out who you were comparing Anomalies to BEFORE the frame with Tobias.
I loooooved that series. But after shelling out $5 a month for every book (including the Megamorphs and the Andalite Chronicles) in the series for who knows how long, I realised it would never end, and I stopped. it must have been number 18 or so. The one that has Cassie turning into a butterfly on the cover, where she helped convert a yeerk to the cause of good and justice. I figured it was a good place to end it.
but don't worry, I'd never have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out.

I think that's what happened to me. I'd wait eagerly each month to buy my new book, but by sometime around book #40-something (coincidentally also a Cassie one; she morphed into a kangaroo on mine) I stopped reading. I don't even remember if I finished that book, come to think of it...
