The idea that an asthmatic, or else someone afflicted with allergies, can just suddenly overcome them and rid themselves of their medication through sheer force of will after a trying event is figuratively one of the stupidest cliches I've seen in fiction.Related content

It's TOTALLY realistic to suddenly rid yourself of asthma! Just like it's totally realistic for pocahantas to suddenly learn english in about half a second. YAY MAGIC.
