Thank god I finished Dx this took me 3 contest extensions and through lots of busy homework to complete this.

For the group contest

I definitely had a picture of KOS-MOS in mind after the events of Xenosaga III and this was the result. The top panel is reminiscent of Shion and crew finding her in the scrap piles of that one place (been forever since I played) and one of my favorite cutscenes when she wakes up as well as the most engraved image in my mind of the spoilerific trailer.

That's what the title references to, I also considered naming this Goodnight KOS-MOS.

The bottom panel is the 'present' where KOS-MOS has landed on Lost Jerusalem and is now sleeping until Shion and crew find her again. ^_^

First I started with lines and then I did the BG then the BG detail and the base colors of both KOS-MOS' I tried to be as accurate to detail as possible @A@ which is hard for her character models. The way she looks destroyed may not be right because she did have her chest plate open using D-Teneritas on that damn obese whale/Gnosis SOB, I screenied an ending shot for reference D:

Then it went downhill from there as I added highlights and shadows in scratchy color, AGAIN no lines, just color for this art piece. And then I over-photoshopped the lights and shadows of everything.
