Description
I'm leaving the story out, yet again.Have patience with me - this is the first painting of this kind I've ever made. A first time thing, in more than one way :]
I really -had- to use references for the background, and I hope it came out okay. It was a true challenge

I like the graduated perspecitve in this as the primary focal aspect of composition. Very different composition method than I have seen you use in most of your art. I like this more as it better approaches design issues based upon the focus of the image and the character off center and greatly reduced.
Nice sense of depth. This reminds me of Carravagio.

I like the background a lot. And specially the girl's figure there, breaking the seriousness of the background, but qith some kind of clever respect. She is like the flute player of Hamelin, but leading invisible beings.

definitely very nicely done! i would argue that the shadow of the flute player should be sharp, like the shadows of the columns. As always, your art style and skill are jaw dropping.

I hate you. Okay, so... no, I don't. I envy your talent. This is absolutely amazing... I thought it was a photo and then read the artist's comments and realized it wasn't. I wish I could say something constructive, but I haven't got enough knowledge in the world of art to do that, so I'm hoping that reiterating that this is amazing will be a decent compliment.

The figure is a bit too dark, but it earns points because it looks like a hobbit, hehe. The foot on the ground looks a bit misshapen, but it is her -- or him? -- that I like best in this work, aside the reflections of the light in the floor on the walls.
The contrast of light and shadow on the floor looks too sharp, you can see it is painted.
I don't see how the picture intertwines with euthanasia. I'm sure you could have conjured something neat up with a description.
