Description
Out in the wasteland one truly scary monster is a raider Death Rig. Converted from a freightliner truck, these beasts really bring the pain. Two super charged engines give the rig incredible power and speed. Reinforced battering grill, jacked suspension, extra fuel tank and redneck armor make it hard to stop. Hood mounted machine gun, passenger mounted .50 cal and roof mounted plasma cannon, give it the edge even at a distance. Whether at a distance or up close the death rig lives up to its name. Almost unstoppable, it’s a real Juggernaut!
Here is my finished 1/32 Death rig, featuring kitbashed, scratch built, resin and bits bin details. Bashed from a Revell Snap Tite Freightliner model, this project was built as a trade with . The base model was absolute crap and took a ton of work to get it to even look like a truck. Most of the work will never really show as it was required to even get the thing together (did i mention how crap the base kit was) anywho once i got the bashing done the painting was pretty fun, with my standard raider colors. A few things could have been a bit better and a few features were left off due to time constraints (i really wanted to just get it finished and move on) but overall i am happy with what i was able to accomplish and i hope its new owner enjoys it.

hi dude. this is fantastic. yummy colours and the accessories on this beast are awesome. I love all the little fine nick knacky details in every area. this defo qualifies for the mad max style hall of fame. well done on this. I saw all the wip as well, and it truly has came to life. you have created an inspiring one off. hell yeah !

shortly after the usa entered Iraq/Afghanistan we realized our Humvee ect were pretty poorly equipped to stop rpg,ied's so were started bolting steel plates and junk to our rides to provide better protection(this was before the Humvee got its upgrades) the term our soldiers came up with was "redneck armor"

Well, maybe you should think about a fifth or sixth color. That colorsceme is getting a little inflationary
It feels a little boring when every model has the same paintjob, especially in a chaotic szenario. I mean, how do they get so much of the same paint in a post apocalyptic world? Did they raid what was left of the Ochre-and-Puce ltd?
Wouldn't they keep the original color (or colors if parts from different vehilces are used) and just add their heraldy, like red-brown painted doors or something?

hahah i get what you are saying! they must of raider a paint store but all they had left was dark tan XD
well i kinda have, when i said four colors, i meant on this one. there is probaly about 8 or 9 in my raider color scheme. the only real constant is the base color of "dark tan". i tired with each of these raider rides to switch up the secondary colors and to what percentage the parts would be painted in the secondary colors. ie some get military brown,dark rust others rust,dark rust ect.. mostly i just wanted a general scheme that would be easy for me to follow and to make sure the rides looked like they could be from the same faction(like wargamers do) the last two of these raider builds have not been for me, so it was more about using paint that i had alot of(and not saved for my personal builds) that way i knew what ever i was building them would look "kool" but without me having to spend $$$ or time trying to figure out a new scheme.
anyway your advise is much appreciated and dully noted. don't worry the next bash is not going to be in this scheme.
