Description
Soon after the Germans first encounter the "mega chicken" they started drawing up plans for a massive super heavy tank that would be able to engage such a treat. After final approval from the SS, the E100 became a reality. With only one produced and code name ""HΓΌhnerhΓ€scherschlange" this 130 ton monstrosity featured flared side skirts, roof-mounted MG 42 and a massive 170mm AT gun. The only real question was, would all this be enough to take down the feathered menace. This is a 1/35 Trumpeter Jagdpanzer E100 model, built "outta the box"(except for the decals) painted with enamels and weathered with art acrylics and pastels. This beast was heavily inspired by growing up with G.I.Joe(Cobra!!!XD) and playing tons of wolfenstein 3d, in no way do I support fascism or ignorance of any kind. This was a pretty fun project and it really was a blast thinking up some sort of sinister SS tank. This thing is pretty freaking huge and overall think it was worth the cash, I would recommend it to any beginner or expert. The only tricky things with this model are the size and standard crazy Trumpeter instructions.
Anyways I am really happy how the one came out, and can't wait for a nice day to see how the chickens like it.

I would not want to be anywhere near one of these monsters when it fires, the shockwave and recoil would be a bitch.

This looks so much better than the disgusting WoT version and its rear-mounted gun placement.

thanks man, this one was a pretty easy build but made super fun with the crazy paint and markings. really is a bit sinister and not the kind of tank you want to meet in a back ally.

Those curved sideskirts make this thing look like some sort of mutated hovercraft, I think. Best. Amphibious. Invasion. Ever!

"Trumpeter instructions" Nuff said.
"Standard crazy instructions." in that there aren't any, for any parts beyond the basics.

GOD I KNOW! or lately with these newer ones, there are sub assembly's everywhere and everything is really backward(defiantly made by computer tec not builder) freaking sometimes i have to have notes going everywhere. TONS of super fun page turning.
anyways the newer gray plastic is really nice feeling, par with tamiya and above academy IMO.

Well thats good to know. The first trumpeter kit I did had slots for motorization and was made out of peanut brittle....

yea some of their older stuff really is hit or miss, you can kinda tell by the box art. my trumpeter Challenger 2 (while i do like) had some of the worst plastic.
i am telling you tho the new ones (white edged boxes) are really on par with Tamiya on plastic and sometimes have better detail.

Its really strange that the Jagdpanzer E-100 you have looks a ton different than the one used in World Of Tanks here [link] . Your model looks like a Jagd Panther on steroids. Not bad though

Hummmm odd (i don't play) i know that this thing in "reality" was never built, so i assume some of this is from speculation. from what i had heard the British found a prototype and scuttled it.

yea the snakes are decals. i was given a ton of aircraft makings and it seem to fit just right, so i couldn't resist.

Awesome tank. Totally looks like an overgrown Jagdpanther.
The weathering looks really cool on this one, gives it the feeling of being old and used.

The front definitely looks like a jagdpanther, but the back half actually reminds me of the jagdtiger, with the vertical casemate back & hatch, as well as the grating over the engine and the exhaust.

They did: P-38 Lightning, P-47 Thunderbolt, P-51 Mustang, and Hawker Typhoon.
B-25 Mitchell and B-26 Marauder, in their ground-attack configuration, would leave absolutely nothing left.

Technically, the United States Air Force wasn't established until 1958 or so. These planes would all have been operated by the US Army.
But really, if it has the capacity to snuff you out like a candle, does it matter what you call it?
