Description when your part of a raider dozer crew, you want to make sure you remember to load up on "party" supplies. its part of the raider code to bring more guns, bullets and booze than would seem sane, but you want to make sure that you can take on anything and have a good time doing it.

Here is my 1/35 stowage for my detahdozer. a mixture of stock, kitbashed, scratch built, bits bin, resin and photo etched parts. might of gone a bit overboard on the gear and not all of this will make the build. But i like to have options and its fun figuring out how to really load up a armor build. still have a few tie downs i need to make and maybe a couple of other things.Having all this ready(takes a ton of time), there will be little wait once i get the track and figures done.

As always questions, comments and suggestions welcome!

I can imaging lol My favorite thing to work on personally is the figurines for my models, which are mostly modern day military vehicles like the Humvee. I have a 1/35 Abrams tank and a 1/35 Black Hawk heli which are not as well done as the Humvee xD I'm hoping to post some picks of it over the weekend actually

That site btw is amazing! I found all kinds of stuff to get lol I actually found the exact same Humvee I'm building lolΒ

To be honest, Im not very good at building this stuff, but I love looking thro your gallery to get inspiration for my own. Your wasteland raider models are becoming my favorite lol Hope it all goes smoothly for you! Its looking fantastic so far! ^-^

ahhh figurines can be lots of fun(or pain lol) ahhh a 1/35 black hawk, that's on my personal wish list. doesn't matter if they are not as well done, if you had fun and leaned something then who cares. everyone's gotta start somewhere, i have some models that are pretty poor compared to what i do now too.
awesome dude, remember to shoot me a link.

yea i love that site and use it for most of my military models and paint. have a great selection, good search features and awesome prices(not to sound like a sales pitch) only down side is the shipping. no matter what its always around $10, but works out if you order a few things at once.

i wasn't very good either(no one is) just takes time and patience. if you keep building, i am sure you will improve a great deal. if you ever have any questions or want to bounce ideas, i am always around.

thanks again! its coming along pretty smooth, last night i got a tonnage done. i just got the figures and tiny details and i am done.

The heli was actually a birthday present some years ago from my dad. Turned out pretty decent but the blades are warped from sitting in the sun >.< We had moved to a new house not long after it was made and the only place to put it was on the dash of the car >.> I had tried putting a light weight towel over it but it only helped a little lol I'll send you a link to the Humvee as soon as I put up the photos. Its still a wip because Im waiting on some detail parts I ordered from that site to get here first, but so far it looks pretty cool. ^-^Β

And yeah, I just used all of my b-day money on extra parts and figures form them. And yet there are so many more things I wish I could get lol

I do actually have a question tho, if you dont mind. What kind of primer do you recommend? Do you have a favorite? Or do you just use whatever you have around at the time? Im always looking to improve with models and am open to all kinds of constructive criticism if there is any lol Β

ahhhh, well even if its damaged, there must be a way to fix it more or bash it somehow....
nice, i look forward to seeing your Humvee!

ahhh awesome dude! yea youΒ  don't even want to know what my wish list looks on that site! they have soooo freaking many figurines and stowage sets. but the great thing is you can mix and match over time. a set of stowage(or figures) will have more than enough stuff to put on a few builds. gonna have to stat a bits box for yourself.

sure i don't mind at all. i have used loads of different brands and the two i use(and prefer) the most are Krylon color master(gray primer) and tamiya. the tamiya is more expensive but comes out very thin and silky smooth(great for figures) the Krylon is great because its cheap, big cans and can be found everywhere(hardware stores, wallmart) most of the time i am using the krylon just cause its cheap and it gets the job done(a little thicker than the more expensive stuff, but a light coat or two always does the trick) for black primer/base color(guns, metal bits ect) i like to use the krylon dual flat black, tho lately some cans of it have been funky at first(and krylon color master flat black seems to come out graphite for me). so remember to prep the cans(leave me in a bucket of warm/hot water for a few mins, and shake the hell outta them) and always test on a scrap piece first.

I've thought about using a hair dryer on its lowest setting to heat them up and bend them back into place, but I've always been worried of messing up some much thinner and smaller parts on the body itself. Its not terribly bent, but you can tell right away they aren't straight lol I may post some pics at some point 8/

Anyway, heres a couple photos of the humvee. The picture quality is horrible to say the least XD All I had was my phone at the time v.v If you have any critique, I'm happy to hear it ^-^Β

Kit bashed Military Humvee

Kit bashed Military Humvee 002

Kit bashed Military Humvee 003

Most of the stuff I bought was figure stuff actually XD Also bought some paints as well since I've been running a tad low lately lol But yeah, my wish list grew pretty huge after I realized I couldn't get all the stuff I really wanted. Still got a lot tho XD I have a box set a side and ready to go for bits and parts lol

Alright, I definitely look into getting the Tamiya primer. I'm about to actually head out to my local hobbyshop, so I'll see if they carry it ^-^ I just got a twin Mustang F-82G for X-mas. LOVE that plane, weirdest looking thing ever, cant wait to build it XD I've actually used Krylon before but wasn't truly happy with it to be honest. 8/ However it was the only stuff I had for the longest time XD Do you know if Testors has any good primers? I've had nothing but good experiences with Testors enamles, but have never tired a primer if they have any. (never really looked either lol >.> ) Β

hummm yea i would be worried too! was thinking maybe holding close to a light bulb might do the same. maybe its something you will need to test out on a scrap piece or live with...

cool, i check them out in a min!

awesome, gotta love scale figures!

ahhh awesome, that is one cool/weird bird! have fun with it.
yea krolon colors suck and sometimes the cans can be junk(seems to be around 10%) but i love me the flat black dual and primer. might depend on elevation/humidly ect as well.

have not used the testors primer but i use a ton of the model master paints(made by them) not sure if they make a primer, but if they do its probably not half bad.

My father actually suggested holding it over a candle O.o I dont think I'll do that tho lol

I actually found a primer from Testors at my local hobby shop, I'll have to give a try on my next model. I dont think I'll be using Krylon anymore tho, it just hasn't been really good the last few times I've used it. I dont know it they changed something or what, but something is up >.<

lol yea that might be a bit scary and very very little room for error. i know, as thats kinda my process for my making antenna.

tell me how it goes with that stuff!
yea, see i have bought it in bulk, but know what you mean. have had a few cans of black that i had to spray 1/4 of the can to get it mixed right.....

really was alot, big time sink.

yea for the most part, maybe 85%. lots of tiny stuff i that will be placed as i go. few things here are there are optional(all have to see how they look) so as always probably not everything will make the dozer. but with all this i can make sure to really load it up.

i always go a bit overboard cause its nice/fun to have alot to work with, and what you don't use, is less work for me latter.

We had two M60, three M2 with mountings, few shotguns, a little rusty grenade launcher, and a whole galaxy of bullets, shells, grenades and rockets... Also, a quart of tequila, a bottle of rum, a case of beer and a pint of pure ethanol. Not that we needed all that for the party, but once you get locked into being a drunk gun-crazy post-apocalyptic raider, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the fire extinguisher. There is nothing in the world more helpless and boaring and fun-killing than a man extinguishing fires, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

Ahh I yea I see, thankfully i've gotten passed the "This is too hard" part and continue to work away at my models XD Oh! and I got 2 nice boxes of stowage for my tanks :3....ok well one of them is WW2 allied accessories but they only had 1 box left of the more modern equipment i'll try to modernise the stowage a bit XD

Also I don't think i'll get the ZTZ finished before xmas day i'll certainly get the tracks and some weathering done, but I wanna add stowage too, oh well XD

ahhh nice dude, yea there is always a way to get stuff from ww2 kits. bit of paint and no one will notice(i know XD) what sets did you get?

yea that's alot to get done(stowage alone!) some stuff just takes time, best not to rush. no way will i be done by xmas but i am now about 100% sure ill be done by the weekend(unless i mess something up really bad lol) pretty much gotta do the figures and random details.
have the tracks on and just got done the mud, so now i really gotta get on those figures so the stowage can go on! XD
