In the case you were wondering, after some experimentation, due to the fact that the line was built at a gradient of about 2.5%, each locomotive is limited to 6 loaded 100 ton hopper cars and a caboose.

When I operate on this line, I usually have 2 on the front, 1 in the middle, and 2 on the rear.
