AND LOOK. MY OWN TEXTURES.
I had to use my webcam to take the pictures, since I can't find our digital camera (It's actually the whole family's one, so I'm doomed if not found soon ._.)

The textures are my sister's blanket, the scratched+dirty computer desk and my grey top XD

This Irken I did for fun. I guess you can say she's me as an Irken, since she's actually wearing clothes that I own o3o' Anywayz. Sorry for the lame facial expression, but I was little down when I drew her XDD

Pen Tool
In Photoshop. Programs like Flash MX and Illustrator have it too. In free programs such as Gimp, they call it a Path Tool. Though I find that a little bit unfamiliar working with, so I stick with my Photoshop, but if you if you have time to learn it, then go for it C:

But don't let the name fool you! It's doesn't work exactly like a pen, but more of a shape making tool. It makes clean cut, vectored lines.

I meant getting my own textures as in going out, take photos of grungy surfaces around my house (eg. concrete), and making a texture out of that. That's what most of the textures I use from CGTextures are, anyways
