Once again, in MS Paint. I dunno. The shading looked better to me before I uploaded it
For some cruddy reason, Photoshop won't work on my spare computer anymore -_-
Meaning if I want to colour, I need to use the one with the internet. And I only get to go on this one when it's MY turn for using the internet, so I'm stuck D8
Here ya go!
Now I have to go upload a sketch. (Or when I get to go online again ._.')

Programs don't really define quality XD I used MS Paint to draw that picture.
The program I think is best is Paint Tool SAI. Otherwise, GIMP. I use it for most of my works.

BEWARE. Zim looks faaaaat XD I drew it without reference too, but still, it's ugly as heck! Barely looks like him. More like a smeet lol.

Well, it depends on the sort of art you enjoy doing
If you like your hard edged lineart - that is lineart done by a pentool (like what I assume you're doing now?
But if you're planning on doing things like digital painting, and want to colour in and draw lines like this [link] then a tablet may be necessary.
But I've seen graphics tablets used for other things such as games and stuff too

Yeah, I'm using pen tool now. I'm hesitant about getting a tablet because I can't draw straight lines. My line art is veryyyy sketchy. D: Which is why I love pen tool, so I can clean it up.

Well that is what the practice is for! xD I'd say if you wanted to use a tablet, you'd be perfectly fine with it, it's just the lineart that can be a bit difficult. But not all digital drawings really need an outline. Have you ever tried hiding the lineart layer after you've coloured in a drawing?

I understand about the rubbing in your face thing.
My friend does that, but not to hurt my feelings or anything. She just wants to show me her art. But a lot of the stuff she draws is just a upgraded version of what I drew.
Like once I painted this painting of a flower with a nightsky in the background and I gave it to my mum. My friend saw it, then went and painted the same thing for HER mum, but she made the flower a prettier glass-blue rose and the sky was prettier than mine and everything, which really hurt my feelings because it was better then mine! She did that to me heaps of time now. She doesn't mean it, she just draws better then me x_X

Yeah. Thing is, there will always be something the person who you are jealous of, to be jealous of YOU. It might not be drawing, but it could always be something else that they want more then drawing. Humans are weird like that

I really wish you could get one too! They're so much fun, but sort of hard to get used to at first, considering their squeeky smoothness!
But it will be worth it, as it took me 2 years of stalking the electronic stores to finally get my slimy hands on one of these on special *-*
