May as well be a frackin' human. I should practice more. I really should. I want to be awesome. Zim in my comic will always be Irken anyway (since it's based after Earth's destruction).Tecknologic you ask? I was inspired by Daft Punk. Perfect IZ inspiration, if you ask me. Tell me if this is too dark for your feeble monitors.

It's my wallpaper now. It feels real good to have your own wallpaper you made. Previously, I just shifted from artworks I've received from some of my friends and fantastic artists on dA. I last used.. hmm, my Vaika with a gigantic lollipop by ~Invadertaj

Wtfffffffffff. I tells you, it's all from pentooling with a flimsy beta program called Inkscape :K Nyeh. Colouring is nothing without the DRAWING. You should know that xD

Substance.. hell yeah ._. I just told someone before that I REALLY need to put more detail and points of interest in my backgrounds. They're so open and big.. errghh. I don't know really what to put in them though! I can draw a character fine an dandy, just what the heck am I supposed to do about objects?

X) wellll like this pic of Zim you did.... you could have had wires coming from the back of his chair.... and computer monitors floating around...and a lot more technology and control panels on the desk.... and something for the wallll...oh! A picture of Zim and the Tallest! XD or maybe Zim being employee of the month at Foodcourtia! (not likely but worth a shot lol) There's a lot of stuff you can spice a picture up with.

Hands.. you know, I take like, 5 redraws, just to get them right? You should see the original sketch.. you can actually SEE all the lines where I rubbed out the last. Too fat, too skinny, too wrongly shaped.. in conclusion, hands to me, never come naturally. In morale, I say never give up on the damned things, even after 4 or 5 redraws

Masterpiece? I wouldn't think so yet! XD I really have to push myself into putting in more detail to a background, and to fill up the empty spaces with points of interest. Backgrounds really aren't, my thing. One day, there ought to be a time for me to say to one of my own - yep, it's a masterpiece alright. One day
Thanks so much though, I was inspired by another IZ artist's wallpaper to go and make my own. Not the same style (there's was a 20 hour put digital painting, omgosh), but I just had to do a great big cell-shade whatsit for myself (: Daft Punk - fantastic. I just dream of going to one of their concerts, and just to experience the ground vibrate below your own feet from the bass of the music.. amazing that would be!

EPIC WIN WITH SOME EPICNESS CREAM ALL OVER IT. this is super awsome i like the glow around the earth and the way you shaded. i like darker bg's if u ask me mine is lite so ima change it later.and i love the pose and the color is perfect awsome job

Thanks! The glow had to be there though.. the fact because Earth is blue+khaki mean't that it didn't fit in with the pink, black and green in this piece. I had to make it blend in, so I made it have a pink glowing atmosphere on the Earth. It's like it's polluted, almost! The shading, all thanks to fantastic cell-shading (: I'll never be without it! Same here, to be honest. The darkness is a lot more soothing than big bright white wallpapers you can get, where they just burn holes in your eyes xD The pose, I think could have been more relaxed, but I do say, the hand closest to the front looks pretty good in my opinion! Aww.. yeah, it seems that someone always have something to say for the eyes. I don't know, I probably don't see them the same as you, but there are other people who think the same about how I draw the eyes. I don't mean to disturb! I just find it easier to draw that way, since I did evolve my artworks from Anime, which has similar sort of lines like hat. I should probably get back to drawing the eyes properly though, with the full lines. Thank you for telling me

Ahh, kinda flat, I suppose? Or it could be the size of the irises. They could be a little small. I've been drawing them a lot like that lately. Or maybe the lines don't go far enough and they stop too short. I'll have to experiment (:

hehe, i don't seem to have that problem since my drawings are more realistic. though people keep saying that everything i draw is skinny

well, what i mean with the eyes lines, in general a line has to start somewhere and end somewhere. i think the only thing you should is watch how different people handle lineart and how the thickness of their lines is completely different on some places. i know that illustrator is a a bitch with lines, well, depends on how you know it etc, but for me it is

I draw skinny characters all the time! People said the same to me too, so I tried to make them more fuller, but they really look off to me
Ooh, yess. I didn't use Illustrator for this (my trail looong ran out, and I couldn't find a portable download!), I used another program. The lineart in Inkscape can be even more of a bitch with angles, and it's never as easy to edit as it was in Illustrator. It's very unfair how they expect underpaid (if not at all paid!) artists to have to buy $200 programs.. it just doesn't seem fair!

well, it doesn't, or we can use freeware stuff that isn't that good. but adobe is gone bitch and wants too much money for it. though it can't ignore the face that every russian guy can get what he wants without paying for it. (ouch for me xD, i can do that too, it's in my blood lol).
and about skinny characters, i've seen your recent works without commenting on them (which i will do now since i have time in first time and will to do so). and you're improving a lot, they are skinny, but have shapes (i like shapes.. ^^), it's your style, but you can do it and that's all that matters

Wow this is so excellent! I love this! It looks like the inside of a cockpit of a ship or something like that. I really love the work on the pad that he's touching there.
I really like the earth in the background as well as the Irken symbol on the glass.
I really love the way you colored him here. I've colored like this before. I like how you used the gradients and then a low opacity black to shade things! ^^
Gotta love Zim's expression too, although not that ass-hole perverted grin as your usual he still looks pretty badass as just an asshole looking kinda guy minus the perv grin.

Ooh, you know, I was pretty open about where he is in place of everything. It looked to me just some sort of big dashboard, that only held one control board because of how epic it's purpose may be Who knoooooows!
Thanks (: I really don't know what the Irken symbol actually is three dimensionally, it to me is just a big looming silhouette that has it's own shadow. It seems sort other worldly to me.
The gradients really do help make it look more shapely and less flat - which was the dilemma I was facing earlier about my colouring. It just made it seem more fuller, and filled in a lot and gave it an extra dimension to it already being a 2D piece of art
Oh, well, I think I've been doing these expressions now too much, now that people told me it was good.. I think I might to take a break from it for a while not that I've drawn this one! There are other expressions, I'm sure xD These just seem to suit most to me.
Thanks so much! Awww, perhaps because I don't draw too much else these days xD Not only am I still fresh in the fandom, but my OC's just don't fill that void of interest when I draw them. I'm sure I'll revert to those OC's like a lot of other people in the fandom have themselves - they'd start with the IZ characters, but then get bored and move onto their own little AU stories
