Second attempt at new shading style. It's a little better than last time and I like how I was able to make some muscles visible on crome with the style. He's pretty lean and kinda on the starved side, but still pretty strong since Irkens are actually strong. If you've seen attack of the saucer morons, you would have seen zim lift a huge women up and toss her over his shoulder like she weighed nothing. So I'll think one Crome's size would be able to pick up anything three or twice times his size. I dunno what I was thinking with the background though...Related content

I kinda set goals to draw at least one picture a day to improve that's why. My patience is quite long too but not too long unfortunately

Thanks, now I know to avoid adding lines on his arms next time and to paint on the detail. In the comic I'm still going to be lazy though and my oc barely takes off that labcoat so i probably won't have to draw detail to the arms that much

It's like "I fought a guy who has weird powers and he has no money...and then he called me a asshole even when he's already dead" Then starts having a mental breakdown and blames it on the nearest object...which happens to be a cute kitty

woah, this is epic. I love how Chrome's face is shaded, the arms too. It looks really... real! The way you did that antenna is also very impressive.
I want to try this style. It looks easier to do than drawing the lines then coloring them in.

Thanks, I think this style is way harder than my usual style with the lines, because I had to make everything visible from each other and try to make it look good blended together. I also had to draw a lineart so I can draw it more smooth looking underneath the layer

Oh, wow. You put a lot of work into this.
I'm sure the more you do of it, the easier it will get. Just like the more you use a muscle the stronger it gets. But even if you don't continue with this style, though, your old style is still really good.

it may be a pain, but it was worth it. It's awesome. I've been trying to experiment with new styles as well to try and get as close to realism as possible, but so far the best I can do is digital paintings and semi-realism. All a part of the learning curve anyway.
