Okay, I think I've got a file I'm going to stick with. FULL VIEW, but I don't have the huge download one since dA was messing with my transparent bg's more than I would like. That's also why there's a dA grey background.Aaaand, the first of these is finally done. This series is going to take FOREVER to finish, and that's purely because shading all those roses is an extremely time-consuming task.
I will be doing all 10 senshi in their princess dresses in this style. I've got all but the moons drawn out and scanned; Chibimoon's sketch is nearly done other than the roses. Moon is getting saved for last because finishing her tends to doom an intended series.
I wasn't intending to do the texture thing again, but it kinda happened. The background seemed like the best way to tie the red of Pluto's eyes, lips and earrings to the rest of the image, and the pattern matched the detail. The dress had an ongoing issue of seeming washed out, and adding the background made it moreso. So the texture happened on that.
Since it's a series, looks like that's going to be happening with all the others as well.

Thank you! Yeah, I spent a lot of time shading those. The roses is probably the biggest mental hurdle to getting the rest of the series done; I have the lineart done for all of them, just haven't colored.

It wasn't too bad. When I shade black, I start out with a dark gray. I also made liberal use of edit>adjustments>levels when I was done shading to make it look less gray and more black.
All that black, however, does make me quite glad that I colored Pluto first.

Oh wow! This is gorgeous! I'm in love with how you made the roses shaped like Pluto's symbol. I also like that the symbol on her forehead isn't super obvious. It's noticeable, but it's not ZOMG IN YOUR FACE obvious.

Thanks! The roses-in-shape-of-symbol was kinda the idea behind the whole series, so I'm glad somebody noticed it and likes it. And thanks for the comment on the forehead symbol. That was tough to figure out when I was doing it because of Pluto's color being black (and I'm actually glad I colored Puu first for that reason.
