Kalena somehow finds a way to take "basic bitch" and "not like other girls" and mash them together, yet with her own spin on it. She first rose to prominence as a Minecraft 2 streamer. Initially like most young women she loved the attention but soon as her streams began to be flooded with more and more thirsty adult men and less fun gaming peers she began to stream less and less until she stopped entirely as she pivoted to be an InstaNyan influencer and part time board and video game critic. She has found herself the target of consistent harassment for both trying to hard to be "quirky" and different while at the same time being basic and boring. This initially really bothered her. Like all young people uncertain of their place in the world the opinions of others weighed heavily in her mind until one particularly negative in person harassment event. As she was leaving a bubble tea bar with her boba she was accosted by a man accusing her of just pretending to like it to "look like the cool popular hot girl who lords it over the rest of us" Revealing quite a bit of his own psychology with that tidbit an onlooker took a video of the ensuing incident.

What followed was Kalena repeatedly trying to disengage while the man followed her as she walked continuing to accuse and taunt. Then she had enough and completely snapped. She proceeded to verbally berate the man for his behavior loudly and in public. Suddenly aware of the attention on him the man (Chad Grossman) choose to not back down or leave. He had friends watching and it was in fact him who was trying to act cool in front of his peers and he could not afford to lose face. It isn't clear the exact order of event from the angle of the footage. But the short version is the altercation became physical though only briefly. Once she broke his grip on her arm the quick but time honored tradition "fuck around and find out" combo of slap, drink in face, foot in testicles sent Chad to the ground in a heap. He later alleged that it was actually her who hit him first.

No charges were ever filed. After this exchange went viral on the internet Kalena seized the opportunity and started her own organization dedicated to anti bullying and harassment causes.
