Impact
This piece arouses a very devastating feeling from the viewer, it's impact is heavy. I find that it is not only because of what we are seeing, but also because of the lack of context in the piece. We do not understand why Rarity is falling, or why her horn has been broken, which is the most heart breaking aspect of the drawing.
The lack of context adds more impact and power to the piece - as instead of knowing what has happened, the viewer is left only to connect with the agony that is displayed on Rarity's face, and the utter shock she is experiencing as her horn is shattered.
Seeing her in such a vulnerable and fragile position is very confronting. The look of heart break on her face is very relatable, as well as upsetting. We can feel her pain, and the confrontation. This piece inspires a very heavy sense of fear, as well as curiosity, to know what has happened and why.
It leaves the viewer asking, 'Why?' and 'How?'. The contrast of her body as she falls against the black background is very striking, and her actual body structure looks very natural as she falls. Seeing her mane flow upwards in a mess is a very good highlight in the drawing, as it takes away from her usual collected and neat nature and replaces it with horror and chaos.

AU?
I'm guessing, because she has a rock for a Cutie Mark. Very intriguing.. :0

It's not a rock. Her cutiemark is "peeling off."

Wow... This is a really heavy drawing. I really like it. It's very dark and alarming, but natural in a way. Very well done
