Description
IT HAS BEGUN!And what I mean by that statement is that I'm finally catching up to my commission backlog, and to such an extent, that you guys should expect an update every week...minus you Nayzor, you know the drill!
Also, as mentioned before, DeviantArt is like a convention center; pretty vacant on the weekdays, but packed to the halls come the weekend. And no self-respecting conventioneer would show up on any other than Friday, which is what I'm aping right now!

is a awesome gal of whom I'm doing the rare art trade with, as she's doing some Chibi (Japanese cute-ified figures) of various giant monsters for me, as I tackle her neat original characters in return. Here's the first of her end of the bargain, entitled Kaiju Minis Round 1 - check it out and favorite, damn it!

And here's my first contribution to the deal; my rendition of her monstrous superhero K. Rugerrand, of the otherworldly Defenders of Cogito. What I like most about K. Rugerrand (which is true with all of Draguuthor's creations) is the Kaijin / Power Ranger Monster-style design, and the inherent humor which comes with it. However, I think my take on the character is way more fearsome than the source material:

I'll add further comments to this text later on, but here's her detailed description for K. Rugerrand; take it away woman!
******************
K.Rugerrand is a reptilian Morgatrull, hailing from one of the outermost sectors of Cogito. Yes, he has three mouths. Only the topmost one is used for talking and eating, but the other two can (and do) bite, so it wouldn't be a good idea to give him a poke in the chest.
If the other Defenders had to pick a word to describe K.Rugerrand, it would have to be "lunatic." He's crazy, but somehow musters up just enough self-restraint to avoid becoming a major menace to Cogito's society. D-Arctangent's commanders would choose "bricks-for-brains," since he's not the brightest of individuals. But don't let his apparently slow wit fool you...he's lightning fast when it comes to dispatching opponents! K.Rugerrand also possesses an uncanny resilience, most notable being his resistance to fire. It comes in handy both in battle and in the numerous accidents he gets himself into during training.
K.Rugerrand's excitable nature and fits of 'twitchiness' makes him quite incapable of handling firearms; watching him use a gun is like watching the A-team firing. If he does hit an enemy with a bullet, it was probably by accident. Thus, he tends to rely more on short-range weapons, like his trusty chainsaw, or his bare hands to get up close and personal in combat. Which is just the way he likes it, because there is nothing he enjoys more than chain-sawing D-Arctangent's army to bits...except for bacon.

He's mine too, hence why I drew K.Rugerrand in our first art trade.
And in case you haven't seen it, here's Ketrina's end of that said trade, which I hope you'll also enjoy:

Thank you, though I should point out it not my character, but a comission for someone else.

K.Rugerrand looks awesome! And so menacing...
He looks ready to wrestle with some giant monsters! And if he really were 50+ ft tall, he would too. Come to think of it, K.Rugerrand might try even though he isn't.
Can't wait for the next trade to happen! ^_^

Sorry for the belated response, but I totally agree that K.Rugerrand would make for a great giant on his own.
And yes, we will do another trade, though I've yet to properly sit down and sketch out your inter dimensional girl team member - I'll keep you updated though.
