Wow man! I haven't been by your gallery in a while.
This looks awesome! The surfacing is just great and the terrain itself is ver realistic. Really almost looks like a panorama photo!

Man, this texture is fantastic
hmmm.... have you tried the same resolution without UltraAA? I wonder how much it gave to it.

How is your strata diagonal in this? I've never seen something like that before...
Very awesome render mate

it's too dark, and the strat could benefit from a few layers to cover it up, some, but very, very cool, nonetheless

It is a beautiful render. Thanks for all the technical details. It really helps when trying to learn how others do it. I especially like the detail in the foreground. The decision to go extra wide and short adds some great qualities to this image. Someday, if I work really hard...

Really great, I love the scattered .. um.. what're they called? I know 'strata' is the material term, I'm talking about the.. the things that.. stick up.
I love how you always put some work into the terrain instead of just working on the material and throwing it on some random fractal terrain.. your terrains always.. "make sense" and are.. for lack of a better word, realistic.
Excellent!

Thank you! I have a Pentium D dual-core 2.8 ghz with 2 gigs RAM (1 gig sticks), nVidia 6800 256Mb video card, 250 gig hard drive, dual DVD-RW and DVD-ROM drives and a beautiful 19 inch ultrasharp flatscreen monitor. It's one of the Dell XPS 600 series. I can actually render two terragen images at once on the thing...

Thank you! I debated on posting the 4500x750 version, but I felt that was too large a picture to display that could get ripped. If you really want to see it let me know.
