Description
YUS!! I found an animation section here on dA...now I can show you my terragen animations here!!This is a preview of my Pax Deorum animation. Click download to download the animation! Let me know what you think! It isn't anywhere near done...this is only the first short bit of it. The rest is still rendering and will be for another week or so. Then I'll add music to it as well.
Rendered in Terragen.
Original rendersize: 800x600.
This video is made up of approximately 500 terragen rendered images stitched together in VirtualDub and compressed using the Indeo Video codec.
-Mike
*EDIT* If you're having trouble viewing the animation, try downloading the Indeo Video codec here: [link] It's freeware, so don't worry.

Hey, this looks super awesome, Mike!!
You know what? I'm doing animations right now since a few days! It's much fun first, but waiting then....
Your file plays without problems in Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic and Quick Time Player. QT is the only one that shows the colours the same way as the image! WinAmp didn't open. Codecs installed: Many ...including Matroska but no Indeo.
Another question I've got: What quality settings do you use? (I use 'fast sub-pixel smoothing' only, no ebd or ultra. Atmo and clouds in medium quality.)
Anyhow. No suggestion to your preview. It just looks great as it is! The terrain seems to be really big, surface and bliss are awesome!

Is this still the same one I downloaded the other day and watched? If so... It still looks great... and if anyone is having problems watching with media player, have them go into quicktime as it works like a charm there

That is awesome, i've never seen a animation done in terragen before. This makes me want to give it a try. Great work!

That is SO cool!
I would have loved to have seen some water on the flat parts but either way this is great .

Thanks, man! Water???
Do you have any idea what that would do to the rendertimes for the 600 images?
Seriously though...I am going to do one with water soon. Terragen does do water fairly well, so I might as well use it.

Haha yeah I knew it would have been a severely longer wait with water but I'm a fan of water in Tg so I'm bias .
Ah k, can't wait for it then.

Try downloading the Indeo Video codec and see if that helps. I put a link to it in the description up above. If it still doesn't work, let me know.

Thanks, but I actually just remembered I had realplayer so I dowloaded it to the desktop and opened it with real... but that is just amazing, seriously! It's like something from a 2D imax theater! If you get it to be all gross and doubled and you get those glasses then that would be spectacular. You should do that someday.
