Thank you much!
Typically when that happens it's because the sky size may be too small. Try increasing the sky size. I think I usually use 50,000 or higher for my sky size (it will take longer to render though). If that doesn't help let me know.

Oh my God..this is just so brilliant! I love the mist and how the shadows stretch backwards...I can study this for a long time!

I really like how you incorporated the haze into this, Mike. I see 2 things wrong with it from my perspective, though:
1. It's a bit bright on my eyes. Try using the Curves tool in Photoshop to darken the pic some
2. Also, the pic is a bit too sharp for my liking. I think blurring it a slight bit will really help with that problem (If you meant for the sharpness to be there, then I can't complain much since it's YOUR pic.. Just a suggestion from my POV
).

I am a big fan of it. High altitude camera position looking down...play with the settings and see what you come up with.

Nice work as always. I think in this gen the mist effect is really the outstanding feature. However, to get a better mist effect you need to use more diffuse light. You can see this in the high contrast between the highlighted parts (which are saturated) and completely shadowed parts of the landscape, and also the way the shadows cut off abruptly on the white (it looks like gradients in 16 bits, the lack of smooth continuity is visually displeasing). The "sheer effect" that other posters mentioned is good but under-developed here, it just needs to be softer.

Thanks for the detailed comment! Yeah, one of my complaints about terragen is the shadows and how the program is not good at shadow boundaries especially where there needs to be diffusion of light. Hopefully the next version of terragen will fix this. Thanks again.

Thanks! I just used atmospheric haze at a low elevation and very high percentage.
