So I saw DoTM a little less than two weeks ago... Did I love it? No. Did I hate it? Hate's a bit strong of a word.I'll just put it like this: I watched it.

I prefer the book over the movie.
In fact that's how it is for all the novels based around the bayverse.
Bay is a horrible director when it comes to OUR transformers. They were basically used as props and fodder for a story line that didn't exist around and stupid faced mary sue 'main' character.

To be honest, I forgot most of it because of how droll it was. Bay's attempt at making Sam look relatable/sympathetic by doing the whole "graduated but because of economy can't find job" angle was patronizing and ham-fisted.
Really, I only went to see this movie for Optimus and his delicious voice.

It is awesome. You also forgot the whole part about Sentinel Prime and his whole "I want people that respect ,worship and welcomed me to their planet to rebuild our planet"

He seemed to have a low opinion of humans upon their first meeting, and viewed the rest of them as insects as well. He had Decepticon written all over him from the start.
