I loved that game! It's so old And I didn't realise anyone knew about it these days... Though those peasents are jolly scary.😟 Awesome comic! Black and White needs more love!

Am I the only one who wished that in the good old Black and White, there should be an option to be a really evil deity with a terror invoking avatar instead of some cute animal? No? Just me? Oh well....

Now that could be an interesting idea for um whoever own Dungeons and dragons. make a sim where you play as a new deity, get followers, belief, heroes, priests, do quests. I think they could make it unique and not a black and white clone as well.
I would certainly enjoy it!

If you like the style, there's a sort of 'god' sim game where you play as a king, you've got a town to build and protect, you can recruit fighters/paladins/mages/necromancers/rouges/elves and so on, those characters gain levels and do quests for you; you cannot control them directly but you can 'motivate' them with rewards. The game is called "Majesty" and is quite old but good. There's "Majesty 2" in the making, though, you might wait and get it instead.

I always loved playing Black and White... never won the game however, I'd get to the last or second to last world and then would be stuck because of all the major things I'd have to do early on. I'll have to see about uploading that to my computer again... and seeing about getting B&W II.
This just made me giggle when I saw the hand and I knew exactly what it was you were implying without reading the comic. I've never been able to get my creature to be evil... though maybe I'd be able to do it if I'd actually not disciplined the little guy for doing things wrong but encouraged it.
I remember somewhere it saying it was hard to get both the creature and the hand to look evil at the same time or good at the same time... probably more so the good factor... OK now I'm rambling about the game *sneeks off*

never beaten the game myself too, I just can't stop Letys from senting hungry wolves to eat the villagers of my newly converted town v_v after the 5th time I tried it became too frustrating...
I think it's possible to have the creature have your same alignment, but many say that it's better if it's the opposite of you (i.e. one play the bad cop and the other one the good cop).

I like it although am not familiar with Baldurs Gate at all... But I know the other game well, so I got the point xD
This makes me feel like doing another comic strip, too.
(to be honest - I always thought, BG was a direct rival of DiabloII/LoD Dx... I once read a comparrisson, its title was Baal VS Bhaal. That was my closest experience with the game *lol*.
Is that vice versa with you (totally into BG, but less into LoD)?)

I never thought about comparing them, the only thing they share is the 'medieval' setting and the isometric view! In BG fights are very tactical (you can even press the 'ause button' to issue orders) and there's a lot of rping.
I'm very involved with BG and D&D lore in general as I know lots of fans who share my same interest, but I'm still a great Diablo fan. The problem is that there are few people who really care about atmosphere and lore (while the majority cares only about loot) and those who do, usually fight over their speculative ideas and flame others... BG fans are much more polite!
btw I look forward to see your next strip ^_^ sigh I should draw Diablo strips too!

Uhm, okay. You see, I didnt knew even that. I expected BG always as pure hack&slay-game (just like Diablo, not to say a try to copy Diablo) - guess I was wrong xD
No care 'bout athmosphere, loot-loot-loot and flaming each other - you are damn right in general ^^ But there are exceptions, too

Priceless! Absolutely priceless! Now why didn't I make a connection between those two games.
So, which creature does the new god of murder use?
