And entry for the Propaganda poster contest over at #DarkHetalia .

I happen to have an obsession with WWII propaganda, especially of the Soviet Union, and of the Japanese psychological warfare leaflets.

This was directly inspired form one particular leaflet [[ [link] ]] that was to show the "tenderness and compassion" shown by the Japanese to the children of the occupied nations, and that being under the Rising Sun would bring prosperity to your children.

I found it particularly disturbing at how cute the style was, to be honest.;;;

Also, Japan's face was left blank, because it was left to the receivers of the pamphlets to imagine whomever's face they pleased. =3=

But.. yeah. Characters are: Hong Kong (top left); Japan (top centre); Taiwan//Formosa (top right); Macau (whose colour scheme isn't official? -- bottom left) and my own OC Singapore (bottom right).

And Macau wasn't exactly "occupied", per se... moreso made a protectorate of Japan, because Japan somewhat respected Portugal's neutrality there. ... But I included him anyway since he fit into my "tiny [mostly] Chinese regions" criteria.

But... yeah. I think that's all. /nods. Now, I just wish that my stupid pressure sensitivity didn't suddenly just die on my tabbie while doing this, "OTL.
