My mom has been saying the same thing for years. She also thinks child protective services needs to get involved or the grandmother needs to take them in. She also thinks Ruby suffers from OCD.

Ever since I was a toddler watching this I wondered the same thing. At least in the books thru lived with their parents. But I doubt a 3 and 6-year old could live on their own.

Either they BOTH went into the military or the dad went into the NAVY
and got killed and the mother died of depression O_O AND MAYBE SOME CUTTING...
So the Grandma heard about what happened, and she had to leave her fabulous
carefree retired life and move into the CITY to check in on them once in a while...
And while they were preparing to move, the Grandpa suffered and died from a back injury
from moving a couch into the moving van...
so, yeah....I'm gonna write down the WHOLE story in one of my journals right now ^w^

Oh my goodness, I WANT TO KNOW where in the world their parents are. Ruby is 7, and she's already taking Max to the store?! Come on! Ever since I was a little girl (I grew up watching this show) I wanted to know where their parents are. I'm so confused!

I can't help but wonder this all the time. Their grandmother isn't around that often. And she babysits all the time and that kid has a mother. You'd think she's wonder why her babysitter is an orphan?
