A Wagnerian future...

It deserves a little explanation for those who don't follow what is happening in Russia today...

Prigojine, a former common la convict, is a russian oligarch who has built up his fortune thanks to exclusive contracts with the Russian army dealing with industrial fooding. Very close to Kremlin, he used his money to create various companies (secretly) specialised in mercenariat and disinformation to serve russian interests in numerous countries. The main mercenaries company was rapidly nicknamed Wagner because this musician was the favorite composer of Hitler.

The Wagner group operating basis is : to contact secretly high ranked army officers with dictatorial intentions in their own country ; to engage in high revenues corruption process ; to provide plan and military support to take over power or to confort and protect existing leader ; to sign contracts with the new gouvernment to exploit local mines and/or oil fields and to install local dictature by training army and police in charge to ban all form of opposition. Wagner is acting this way in more and more countries over the orld : Mali, Burkina Fasso, Sudan, Venezuela, etc.

As soon as 2014, Wagner acted in the russian speaking regions of Ukraine in coordination with the FSB to create and organize a pro-russian insurectional military force. The famous "men in black" (soldiers without uniforms) which were spotted in these territories at the time.

When Russia invaded Ukraine last year, Wagner was part of it (estimated today for being 1/4 of russian forces). It led Prigojine to reveal officialy the existence of his group and opened his seat in Saint Petersburg. He got Poutine's agreement to recruit his mercenaries in russian jails. In numerous interviews, he confirmed himself everything wich was suspected about his group activities including internet political disinformation campaigns to favor some candidates.

Inside the group, soldiers are undergoing incredible discipline. A deserter, finaly arrested, was murdered, his head crushed with a sledge hammer against a cobblestone. A video was made and largelly published on the web. Prigojine made it a symbol of toughness, sending even similar hammer with blood on it, to Eu Council for instance.

While russian army was defeated in numerous areas of Ukraine, Prigojine concentrated his forces in the Bakhmut area and managed to re-conquer a city. This increased rivality between agner and the regular army "I is winning while the russian army is loosing". A lot of observers think he has presidential ambitions in case Putin would leave power for various reasons.

To note that, as the leader of the russian Orthodox Church said it recently, a lot of extrem right opinion leaders in Russia thinks a total nuclear war causing extinction of all life on Earth would solve all problems ! While all russian people will then go to Paradise, the rest of the world will go into hell.
